Exploding Frogs

Our last project in my genetic topics class is to go out and collect data for the Frogwatch program. I'm heading out with Tana and Elliot, plus this one fellow whose name I can't for the life of me remember, to a regional park to listen to frogs. We are also going to wear hiking boots and sturdy clothing, and have a picnic. I am so durn excited about going somewhere other than downtown Portland. Also, next week is focus week: aka instead of going to class we go to the seniors' presentations of their thesis work. We get to choose which ones to go see, and there's supposed to be free lunch every day. There are plans for some sort of party-like object, and picnics. It's like spring break #2, except I will have things to do. Oh joy!

Portland makes me sleepy. No matter how much I sleep, I rarely feel well-rested, and I usually want to take a nap.

Also, a correction to myself: my roommate is not moving until after I leave, so I won't have to be scared and alone in a creepy, empty apartment.

Do you literally watch for frogs? Thats pretty cool!
I meant to mention it in my last comment, but do you remember the Fuzziwigs we went to? There used to be one in the N. GA Outlet Mall near Lake Lanier, I'm pretty sure we bought Beanie Babies there one time... I miss it. Fuzziwigs, not Beanie Babies. Speaking of frogs, they had those delicious gummy frogs! Mmm. Buy some to eat whilst frog watching.

I do, in fact, remember that Fuzziwigs (that one was way better than the one here). I bought a big ol' snow leopard beanie plush, and your mom was like, "your parents are going to kill me for letting you get more stuffed animals." Ah, the good old days. I think that was the day that you showed me Princess Mononoke for the first time, and we watched it twice back to back.
We're not precisely watching frogs, it's more like a frog-listen. Hopefully we'll see some too...
