Week End.

Times times good times. This past Thursday, aka yesterday, was the first one, so there were goings on. It was in general a very nice and sunny day; actually hit 63 or so. Elliot, Jen and I went with Erin to do some gallery hopping. I saw the most amazing gallery, which is saying something because I usually don't like them. It was a crawlspace under the loft-bedroom in someone's studio apartment: you crawl through a hole and into a small room. There was an absolutely incredible installation in there; there were layers of paper inked and cut to look like some bizarre organic cave receding into space. There was music, too, some strange subterranean sounds emanating from the glowing art-cave. It was amazing, we stayed in there for about ten minutes. We went by Compound, too; this Japanese-inspired culture store/gallery. There was a sweet show going on that involved reinterpretations of classic pieces by modern artists. THEN, Jen & Elliot & I went to see Ghostland Observatory, who put on an amazing show. There were lasers. That pretty much says it. But seriously, it was good. Then we ate at the Roxy, the 24-hour draggy diner. No queens this time, sadly, but my tuna melt was quality as usual. Then we drank the ever-classy Carlo Rossi sangria and watched the funny parts of Titanic until 2 in the morning. THEN, someone pulled the fire alarm at about 2:40, so we had climb out of bed to evacuate the building. My roommate and I went to help Suki get Axl the cat into his carry case, then we stood out in the cold for a while. In our pajamas. It was actually kind of fun, since we didn't have to do anything in the morning.

Today I pretty much did nothing. I did start making a flyer for the long shadows, hope that turns out well.
