This was one of those weeks where I got burnt out on the first day. Monday/yesterday was great; I was inspired and recorded several ideas to work on. The day just went on for so long; by the end I was drooping and couldn't actually stand to come home and work on those ideas. Tuesday/Today was alright; in Digital Tools/Tigital Drools we worked on our photoshop collages (which is kind of boring). Illustration involved, well, illustrating, but I didn't get much done, which was frustrating. Jen + Elliot + I ate lunch at Hot Lips, which is some excellent pizza. I came home, fell into bed, and slept for two hours until Jen called and we went for dinner/studying. I actually got a lot of work done sitting in Coffee Time. Good-o. Then, Tana and I finished this absurdly painful natural science paper after two and a half hours of late night workin'. Everyone here is actually aged; we all go to bed by 11 (which still seems really late here). Now it's almost one and I feel exhausted. What silliness. Anyways, the point is, it's barely Wednesday and I feel like whole week has gone by. I have my interview at the zoo tomorrow afternoon; I REALLY hope I get a job there. I'm not looking forward to the interview, but the prospect of being employed is very tantalizing.
I've started thinking/making lists about what I'll do as soon as I get home. My writing teacher had us write about special places, and after thinking /writing about the cemetery for an hour I was blindingly homesick. It's starting to be blended with a reluctance to leave everything that's here, though. I guess that's a good sign.
I need a massage. PNCA is specially formulated to kill your back; all of the chairs and terribly uncomfortable and you spend most of your time hunched over anyways. On top of that, the beds in the Goose are not particularly pleasant. I don't have those really luxurious sleeps here that I did at home. Sleeping here is very businesslike. I need that job so I can afford a massage.
I Promise.
